The equestrian facility at CSU Spur offers full-service veterinary and rehabilitation services with state-of-the-art technology.

The CSU Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center at CSU Spur focuses not just on injury, but on global rehabilitation (full body rehabilitation), with programs designed specifically for each individual horse. The Center is run by veterinarians who specialize in sports medicine and rehabilitation.

The Center will provide rehabilitation for equine athletes through services such as:

  • In-ground and above-ground underwater treadmills
  • A standing cold saltwater spa
  • Solarium
  • Whole-body vibration plate
  • Chiropractic
  • Solarium (ultraviolet and heat therapy)

  • Proprioceptive /neuromuscular rehabilitation

A veterinarian and veterinary technician team will be on-site working with horses and connecting with visitors regularly.

As a visitor, check out the equine sports medicine and rehabilitation center viewing area on the 2nd floor (follow signs to the north side of the Vida building), and watch horse walking on underwater treadmills and working with veterinarians (check the CSU Spur events calendar for timing). Visitors can explore additional exhibits about horses and live video in the viewing area.

Equine veterinarians serving horse show clients at throughout the year will have access to the sports medicine facility, including exam rooms, lameness asphalt runways, and arenas.
