Manager of Events
A proud Wheat Ridge native, Thomas Meiers is a seasoned event management professional with more than 16 years of experience across cultural institutions, nonprofits, hospitality, and government operations. His career began with the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival and has since included work with major venues and productions such as the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Broncos, Team Player Productions, GOAT Events, and Civic Center Conservancy.
At CSU Spur, Thomas serves as an event manager, supporting production and logistics for a wide variety of programs. His role spans client coordination, vendor management, AV support, cross-department collaboration, and event setup/breakdown—ensuring seamless execution of everything from small meetings to large-scale community events.
Thomas also serves as event manager at the Historic Elitch Theatre, leading programming, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships to revitalize one of Denver’s most iconic cultural landmarks. He further contributes to the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center as facilities rental coordinator, overseeing client relations, contracts, and rental operations. During football season, he works at Empower Field at Mile High for the Denver Broncos, managing premium catering services in high-profile areas including locker rooms, coaching suites, press suites, and VIP spaces during home games.
Beyond event production, Thomas brings expertise in crisis management and public service. As emergency shelter scheduling & project manager for the City & County of Denver, he oversaw multiple 24/7 sheltering programs serving unhoused populations. At RecoveryWorks, he managed emergency severe weather shelter operations, supervising more than 25 staff while streamlining crisis response, data reporting, and outreach.
Earlier in his career, Thomas gained hospitality and entertainment experience with Team Player Productions and built a strong sales background at the Colorado Convention Center, where he contributed to multimillion-dollar revenue growth. He also worked globally as a Flight Attendant with Delta and JetBlue, honing skills in crisis response, guest service, and operational leadership. At Denver Human Services, he strengthened community resources through donor engagement, volunteer management, and fundraising efforts supporting thousands of families.
Known for his organizational skill, solution-focused leadership, and ability to build collaborative networks, Thomas is also certified in FEMA Incident Command National Response Framework systems, and Six Sigma Black Belt methodology, underscoring his commitment to both emergency preparedness and operational excellence.
Passionate about culture, public spaces, and community, Thomas brings creativity, resilience, and care to every project. His work consistently blends logistics expertise with a community-driven vision—delivering experiences that inspire connection, strengthen organizations, and elevate public spaces. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family, exploring the outdoors, and catching a good comedy show.
