Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, CVMBS, CSU Fort Collins
Rachael Brard is the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS). After attaining a B.S. in Conservation Biology and Ecology from Arizona State University, she moved to Costa Rica where she worked as a naturalist and supported tropical ecology research for visiting university students. Following this experience, Rachael ventured to California to work with elementary and middle school students as an environmental educator. Rachael settled in Colorado to get her Master’s in Conservation Leadership at CSU. For her research, she worked with the Eagle Valley Land Trust to investigate equitable access to public lands and outdoor recreation opportunities in Eagle County.
Rachael will be stationed at CSU Spur to promote higher education and inform the community about careers in animal and human health. She is excited to connect with students, families and professionals in higher education and to expand the outreach programming for CVMBS and Spur in the Denver area.
Rachael enjoys skiing, paddleboarding, and hiking and is grateful to live so close to the Rocky Mountains.
