Part-time Education Facilitator
Jennifer Scharpe is thrilled to bring her passion for agricultural literacy and hands-on learning to CSU Spur as a part-time education facilitator. She also serves as the executive director of Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom, where she develops and implements educational programs that connect students, educators, and the public to the importance of agriculture, food systems, and natural resources.
Originally from Minnesota, Jennifer grew up immersed in agriculture and developed a love for connecting people to the land and food systems that sustain us. She moved to Colorado in June 2009 and has since worked tirelessly to promote agricultural education through dynamic, experiential learning opportunities. Her expertise includes creating standards-based educational resources, leading professional development for teachers, and fostering partnerships with agricultural and community organizations.
Jennifer is passionate about inspiring curiosity and engagement through innovative, hands-on activities. At CSU Spur, she is excited to provide engaging educational experiences that explore the intersections of agriculture, water, and health. When she’s not working, Jennifer enjoys traveling to visit her family and friends in Minnesota and South Dakota, and spending time with her miniature schnauzer named Elsie.
