School Programs Coordinator
Amanda Dian is ecstatic to be a part of the CSU Spur Education Team, serving as the school programs coordinator at CSU Spur. She developed a passion for nature, sustainability, and climate action at a young age and hopes to instill the same passion in young students of the state of Colorado.
Amanda began her education career at the nonprofit organization Tamarack Discovery School in Iowa City, Iowa, co-developing and teaching an environmental education program. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Iowa and earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver. Before joining CSU, she worked as the Assistant Waste Diversion Specialist for the Auraria Sustainable Campus Program at the Auraria Campus in downtown Denver.
Amanda is originally from the Chicago area and frequently returns to visit family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and attending concerts.
