About Our Service Day Partner Organizations

CSU Spur Service Days is a series of volunteering opportunities connected to the community spaces around CSU Spur. Learn more about CSU Spur programs and events at csuspur.org/events.

The Birdseed Collective is a community and arts non-profit organization and runs a weekly resident-based food distribution program called The Globeville Free Healthy Food Distribution and Preservation Program. Through collaboration with Denver Food Rescue who redistributes the healthy food to Globeville, the Monday distribution program at the Globeville Recreation Center is going on its 7th strong year.

Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with severe illnesses. Each week, professional chefs and a registered dietitian prepare thousands of delicious meals, from scratch, and tailor them to meet the medical and dietary needs of those who are ill. Volunteers help package and deliver each meal, free of charge, to neighbors living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney/heart/lung disease, and other illnesses. In fiscal year 2021, Project Angel Heart prepared and delivered 567,263 nutritious meals to 4,556 severely ill Coloradans.
