CSU Spur Service Day: Compost spreading

Nov 11, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Compost Colorado and Globeville First received a grant from Denver Economic Development and Opportunity office for beautification projects to benefit the Globeville neighborhood. As part of the grant, dozens of homes in Globeville received free trees in September, and up to 95 homes will receive a bulk delivery of compost — enough for their entire yard! Compost Colorado will deliver the compost to homes in early November, and will identify homeowners that need assistance with spreading the compost throughout their yard and garden.

Volunteers will meet Compost Colorado in Argo Park at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 for a quick tutorial on compost spreading and then will deploy to homes to spread the compost. Tools and lunch will be provided; volunteers are asked to bring gloves, sturdy shoes, and clothes that can get dirty.

Reach out to sarah.miley@colostate.edu with questions.
