How are you connected to CSU Spur?

I have had the pleasure of being part of the National Western Center re-envisioning team since its inception. Recently, I have enjoyed being part of the design team for Vida and helping create that guest experience.

When did you get involved with Spur and why is it important to you?

This exciting new space will be the perfect place to immerse school kids and the general public within a real working veterinary hospital. This will help everyone better understand the deep bond between animals and people. It will also share how we take care of dogs, cats, and horses. Guests to Vida will be able to watch live animal procedures, participate in mock animal examinations, play veterinarian for the day, and better understand a variety of careers in medicine and science.

What outcomes have you seen or do you expect from work at Spur?

We want people to say “Wow…..did you see that?” We want people to leave inspired to consider careers in health and to better understand how important animals are in our lives.

What would you like others to know about Spur?

What a unique and wonderful place it is to visit and have fun in an immersive educational space.
